The origin of the K-Tree has become part of TT folklore. Situated in the north of the island among the rolling green fields, the K-Tree is famous not only for the curious appearance of a large letter "K" painted onto its trunk, but also for some spectacular TT action. Its origin has been traced back to the 1960s when Joe Thornton, a TT rider and antiques dealer from York, painted the letter on the tree to warn himself of the protruding kerb. The K-Tree is now one of the must-visit spectator spots, its popularity growing exponentially thanks to the incredible TV coverage and the hospitality of the local landowner.
This 100% cotton twill baseball cap boasts several technical features, including a specially designed K-Tree badge on the brim and side panel. The cap also features the famous TT logo, the Signature Stripe that runs through all 67 of the official course signs, and the Mountain Course contours – an authentic copy of the cartography of the Isle of Man.
